Terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions

These terms explain the rules for using the website, app, profiles, visibility controls, verification, support, and paid digital benefits.

Document details

Version 1 | Updated 01-Jun-2026

These terms apply to the website, app, moderation, support, notifications, and payments offered by Sri Guru Raghavendra Matrimony.

  • Applies to use of the public website, mobile app, and related digital matrimony services.
  • These terms reflect the current digital service and replace older short summaries.
  • Should be read together with the Privacy Policy, Cancellation and Refund Policy, and Shipping and Delivery Policy.

1. Acceptance of these terms

Using the website or app means these terms apply

  • By accessing the website, creating an account, accepting policy prompts during signup, submitting biodata, uploading photos or verification records, using the app, or making a payment, you agree to these terms and related active platform policies.
  • If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the service.

2. Nature of the service

A digital matrimony platform, not an outcome guarantee

  • The service includes registration, profile onboarding, photo upload and moderation, optional Government ID verification, profile approval, matching, shortlist, reveal-contact, support, notifications, reporting, paid plans, credits, subscriptions, invoices, and related entitlements.
  • The platform does not promise a fixed number of matches, views, conversations, approvals, responses, or marriage outcomes.

3. Eligibility and registration responsibility

Users must submit accurate and lawful information

  • Users must provide accurate, current, and lawful information when creating an account or submitting biodata.
  • Anyone creating a profile for a son, daughter, sibling, relative, or friend must be authorized to submit that profile and related information.
  • Users remain responsible for valid email use, credential protection, email verification, profile accuracy, and reviewing whether the service scope is suitable before registering or paying.

4. Account and profile steps

The standard path from registration to browsing

  • Register with email and password, complete email verification, create or update biodata in the app, upload photos, and submit the profile for review.
  • Full browsing becomes available only after the required review and approval flow is complete.
  • Access to some features also depends on account state, profile approval state, photo approval state, moderation restrictions, entitlement status, verification state, and current community-visibility rules.

5. Profile information and onboarding rules

What may be submitted and what is not allowed

  • Users may be asked to submit detailed biodata covering profile-created-by, identity, community, location, education, profession, salary, astrology, languages, family, hobbies, property, contact numbers, and photos.
  • All submitted profile content must be truthful and lawful.
  • False, misleading, impersonated, abusive, sexually explicit, threatening, hateful, unlawful, manipulated, or content meant to bypass review or safety rules is not allowed.

6. Approval, visibility, and matches

Visibility and matching are governed by platform rules

  • This is not an unrestricted public listing service.
  • Profile visibility can depend on review and approval status, safety rules, community visibility rules, and matching rules.
  • Some fields remain hidden or masked until a platform-authorized action allows access.
  • Shortlist, reveal, and related discovery features do not guarantee a reply, acceptance, or progress toward marriage.

7. Assisted matchmaking and mediator boundary

Mediator support has clear limits

  • Where assisted matchmaking or mediator support is offered, it remains limited to the scope explicitly provided by the active service arrangement.
  • Mediators do not physically attend meetings.
  • Subscribing to an assisted service does not guarantee a positive response, engagement, marriage, or any specific outcome.
  • Families remain responsible for direct communication, verification, decision-making, and final marriage-related choices.

8. Verification and Government ID rules

Verification improves trust, but does not replace direct checks

  • Government ID verification follows the approved in-app verification process and current verification policy.
  • Accepted document types currently include Passport, PAN, Voter ID, Driving Licence, and 10th or SSLC certificate.
  • Aadhaar is not accepted for verification.
  • Admin review, rejection, reopen, and manual personal-verification override may apply according to live verification rules.
  • Verification or badge presence improves trust signals but does not replace direct family-level verification of important facts.

9. User conduct and prohibited behavior

Respectful, lawful, marriage-focused conduct is mandatory

  • Harassment, stalking, intimidation, repeated unwanted contact, abusive behavior, vulgarity, sexually explicit communication, fake profiles, impersonation, and unsafe use are prohibited.
  • Payment abuse, chargeback misuse, coupon misuse, and attempts to bypass platform restrictions, review steps, visibility controls, or access controls are also prohibited.
  • The platform may warn, restrict, block, suspend, deactivate, or permanently remove accounts that violate these rules.

10. Payments, plans, credits, and taxes

Paid benefits follow the active product and policy rules

  • The platform may offer subscriptions, credits, premium features, assisted-service access, and other account-linked digital benefits.
  • Digital products, prices, taxes, durations, and benefit scope may vary by product.
  • Payments are processed through approved digital payment partners and invoicing flows, and applicable GST or other taxes may be charged where required.
  • Purchased benefits are governed by the product details shown at purchase together with these terms and the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

11. Cancellation and refund position

Successful payments are not refundable

  • All services are digital and the active platform policy is strict.
  • No refunds are entertained for successful payments.
  • Users should review the Cancellation and Refund Policy before making any payment.

12-13. Support, complaints, and account state

Support, reporting, restriction, deactivation, and deletion

  • Users should use official in-app or official platform support channels for support queries, payment issues, complaints, unsafe behavior reports, and deactivation or deletion requests.
  • Supplementary contact through official support numbers or email remains subject to the same platform policies.
  • The platform may limit, suspend, block, deactivate, or permanently delete access for moderation, fraud prevention, payment misuse, verification failure, legal, or policy reasons.
  • Member-requested account deactivation and deletion follow an approved request process and are not immediate self-service destructive actions.

14-18. Platform rights and legal position

Platform rights, user judgment, changes, and governing law

  • The platform design, software, branding, catalogs, systems, and related service materials belong to Sri Guru Raghavendra Matrimony or its licensors, except for user-submitted content owned by the relevant user or rights holder.
  • Users grant the platform the right to host, process, review, moderate, store, format, and display submitted content as needed to operate the service, enforce platform rules, and comply with law.
  • Although the platform may review, moderate, or verify some items, users and families remain responsible for using their own judgment before making personal, family, financial, or marriage-related decisions.
  • The platform may update onboarding requirements, verification rules, support processes, plans, pricing, and these terms from time to time.
  • These terms are governed by applicable Indian law, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in India unless a different legal requirement applies mandatorily.
