Veerabhadra — the fierce, righteous form of Shiva — is revered across the Naidu communities as the embodiment of valour and divine justice. The great Vijayanagara-era Veerabhadra temple at Lepakshi, raised in the very age of the Nayakas, remains a deeply loved seat of that devotion.

Hanuman and the family deities

Lord Hanuman — courage, loyalty and steadfast devotion — is held dear across every Naidu community, and each family keeps its own kula daiva and village deities. Among the Gavara, the goddess Gauridevi is honoured as the family's own.
